Power of Attorney

Can I apply for a deposit account with Close Brothers Savings as a Power of Attorney?

How do I register Power of Attorney for an existing deposit account?

We'll need the Power of Attorney's full name, date of birth and residential address; plus an original or certified copy of the Power of Attorney document or Deputy order. Once we've received the Power of Attorney document we'll carry out electronic identity and residency checks. If these checks aren't successful, we'll write to request proof of identity and residency.

    • your completed product application form (download or call 020 3857 3050 to request it by post)
    • your deposit by cheque or electronic bank transfer within five working days of submitting your application

Once we've received the Power of Attorney document we'll carry out electronic identity and residency checks. If these checks aren't successful, we'll write to request proof of identity and residency.

As the Power of Attorney, how do I know when the deposit account is open?

We'll send the Power of Attorney a letter to confirm that the deposit account has been set up.
