Fixed Term Deposits

Our Fixed Term Deposit product range operates similarly to our other retail fixed term deposit savings accounts.

Our Fixed Term Deposits will run for the agreed fixed term and prior to maturity, we will write to you to advise of any reinvestment offers that we may have.

If we do not hear from you at maturity, your funds will automatically be returned to your nominated bank account.

In line with your original terms and conditions, you will receive an annual interest payment at the pre-agreed interest rate.

We cannot offer the option of early withdrawals or closure on these products.

Our Select Gold fixed term deposits run for the agreed fixed term. We will write to you ahead of maturity notifying you of the options available.

If we do not hear from you at maturity, your funds will automatically be returned to your nominated bank account.

We cannot offer the option of early withdrawals or closure on these products.

Premium Gold

Complementing our range of savings products, from time to time, we offer Premium Gold fixed term deposits. Our Premium Gold accounts are available for a limited time only and there is often exceptional demand for them due to the competitive rates of interest offered.

Our Premium Gold products will run for the agreed fixed term and prior to maturity, we will write to you to advise of any reinvestment offers that we may have.

If we do not hear from you at maturity, your funds will automatically be returned to your nominated bank account.

In line with your original terms and conditions, you will receive an annual interest payment at the pre-agreed interest rate.

Premium Gold products are currently unavailable for new customers.

Notice accounts

If you hold a notice account with us, there is no fixed maturity date for your account. If you would like some or all of your funds repaid, all you need to do is contact us by telephone or post, to notify us that you would like funds returned. The requested amount will be returned to your nominated bank account after the relevant notice period.

If you would like to pay any additional money into your account, you can do this by cheque or electronic transfer. Please make cheques payable to Close Brothers Limited re: Acc holder’s name. Please send electronic transfers to sort code 16-51-87 and your own specific 8 digit account number.

If you are an account holder of one of the above products and receive tax certificates, you will be issued with a tax certificate shortly into the beginning of the new UK tax year.

From 6 July 2011, Close Brothers Limited took over the structured deposit business of Dunbar Bank. 

All of our structured deposit accounts have now matured. As we are currently not offering any new structured deposit accounts, there are no reinvestment options available for this type of product.
