Your eligible deposits held by a UK establishment of Close Brothers Limited are protected up to a total of £120,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the UK's deposit guarantee scheme.
How to report fraud or scam
If you think you have been the victim of a scam or fraudulent activity, please call us on 0203 857 3050 during our opening hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) if you are able to do so.
You should also report the scam to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) using their Report a Scam service.
If you would prefer, or if it is outside of our opening hours, you can report the incident using the relevant form below.
Our team will acknowledge your report within one working day and begin investigating.
I've been scammed into withdrawing money from my account
Use this form if you've withdrawn money from your Close Brothers Savings account and sent it to someone as part of a scam or fraudulent activity.
This could include investment scams, impersonation scams, purchase scams, romance scams, or any other situation where you were persuaded to transfer money.
If the payment was made recently, you should also contact your bank immediately, as they may be able to help recover the funds.
My details have been compromised
If you believe someone has gained access to your email account or mobile phone number, please let us know as soon as possible. This could include:
- Unauthorised access to your email account
- Your mobile phone number being taken over or transferred without your permission
- Suspicious activity affecting your email account or mobile phone
- Receiving unexpected security notifications relating to your email or mobile provider.
