Banks ask for identity and residency documents to confirm who you are and where you live. This is required by UK law to prevent fraud and financial crime. These checks help stop money laundering and keep accounts secure.  Banks must check:

  • Your identity, usually with a passport or driving licence
  • Your address, such as a bank statement or utility bill.

If you do not have the identity or residency documents we need please get in touch by phone or post.
